Centrally located in Downtown Los Angeles, the Wilshire Grand is a full-service hotel with an array of indoor shops and restaurants. The 7th St. Marketplace, directly across the street, features a major department store. Inside the hotel, you can enjoy Northern Italian cuisine in Cardini Ristorante and California specialties in the City Grill, as well as delectable Japanese and Korean cuisines in two specialty restaurants. The Downtown Los Angeles Visitor Information Center is conveniently located within our hotel.

A block of rooms has been reserved for conference attendees. Please plan on staying in the conference hotel, as our standard hotel contract stipulates a monetary penalty if we do not meet our room block. Please help ARLIS/NA by utilizing the host hotel.

Discount room rates for conference attendees are $135 for standard singles, $159 for executive singles. Double/Twins are $155 for a standard room and $179 for an executive. Suites are available for $350 and up, and the charge for an additional person in a room is $20. Add 14.45% for state and local occupancy tax, per room/per night. Executive level rooms are located on the hotel's upper three floors and include the use of the executive lounge and other amenities. Check-in time is 3:00 pm, check-out time is 12:00 noon. Guests arriving before 3:00 pm will be accommodated as rooms become available. Bell staff can arrange to check baggage for those arriving early when rooms are not yet available and for guests attending functions on departure day.

Guest rooms are spacious and handsomely appointed. Each room features a writing desk, refreshment center, remote control television with complimentary HBO, on-command movies, multiline and speaker phone capabilities, ironing board, hairdryer, clock-radio, bathroom scales, and vanity mirrors. All rooms and suites feature king, queen, or two double beds.

Identify yourself as an ARLIS/NA conference attendee to secure the discount room rates. Or you may mail the hotel reservation form to the above address.

Copy and Business Services

The Wilshire Grand offers a full-service business center to cater to the needs of business travelers. Services include copying, printing and faxing services, as well as package shipping.

Fitness Center

Use of the Wilshire Grand's fitness center is complimentary for all guests. The center offers the full complement of exercise equipment, including machine weights, lifecycles, Stairmasters, treadmills, and an outdoor sun deck, including a heated swimming pool and hydrotherapy pool.

Hotel Parking

If you plan on entering or exiting the hotel after dark, we advise parking in the hotel garage. If you are an overnight guest of the Wilshire Grand, you may park in the hotel garage for $18 per day (valet parking only), which includes in and out privileges. If you are a guest traveling to the hotel for the purpose of the ARLIS/NA conference, the rate is $7.00 per day; however, this does not include in and out privileges. Still, this is a bargain compared to most city lots, and we don’t want to encourage people to park so that they have to walk alone outside after dark. A limited amount of alternative parking at lower rates is available nearby if you need only daytime parking.

Alternate Parking Lots Near the Hotel

7th St. Marketplace Lot located on 7th St. (cross street Francisco) directly >across from the hotel. $6 for all day parking if entering *before* 9:30 am. Charges are significantly higher if entering after that time. Open 24 hours.

Joe's Parking at 724 Figueroa St (between 7th & 8th). $8 flat rate all day. Closing time around 10 pm--if you plan on parking here past 9 pm please check with the attendant when you pull in as closing time may vary.
